Carbon farming 的中文非常難翻，暫時翻作「炭耕」或者「炭匯農業」好了，它指的是一種減少溫室氣體排放，或是可以把用作物或土壤來捕捉碳的農耕方式。藉由管理土地、水、植物與動物，來達成地貌的恢復（landscape restoration）、氣候變遷（climate change）與食物安全（food security）的三大挑戰。它致力於在生產過程當中減少碳排放，同時也讓土地增加產量並吸付更多的碳。（Carbon Farming is simply farming in a way that reduces Greenhouse Gas emissions or captures and holds carbon in vegetation and soils.
